Goodreads review
What a beautifully written and illustrated book. Farmer Fisher's Russian Christmas was a captivating and magic read for myself and my little sister. She loved it to bits, the pigs adventure was a fun one to watch unfold. High recommend to all.

A fantastic book
I loved the first edition of this book when I was a child - my brother and I pored over the illustrations, and we played the record over and over again - and not just at Christmas! It opened our eyes to a world filled with different traditions and music, and taught us that friendship stretches beyond national boundaries. It is just wonderful to have it again; it was magical to download the music from the free link supplied and to discover that, yes, it really was just as fantastic as I remembered after all these years! Now I have the added pleasure of sharing this lovely book with my own children - and I am delighted to be able to buy copies for other families I know too. It's a shame that this format is smaller than that of the original edition, but it is still a delight to see it all again. If you have never come across this book before, it is hard for me to convey just how good it is - I am still filled with admiration for Jonathon Coudrille's feat of not only writing and illustrating the book, but also composing the song and singing it, as well as playing all the (very many!) instruments involved! It is quite simply a breathtaking piece of Christmas magic which will stay with your children forever.
